Over the last few years I’ve been working on several  series of paintings. The most recent series is based on remembrances of paintings I dreamt I created. Many of these are non-objective abstractions. I am continuing to use plaster in some of my work to develop a physical structure instead of a painted suggestion of texture. The plaster forces me to work very quickly and to accept what happens with the material. It is in contrast to the smooth high realism I enjoy working on with the objects in the still-life.
