REALISM/NATURE 

I’m a hiker, a year round hiker. The forests of the foothills and Rockies west of Calgary are my main stomping ground and the landscape and the flora are distinctly Eastern Slopes. I like the vistas – but what I am drawn to is what I see closer up, what’s going on near the trail. I enjoy really looking and I bring that sense back to the studio where I can study and translate to push my perception and discover more than the details.
